Hello Friends!
There’s something about fall that makes me want to spend a little more time in the kitchen, especially when it involves a recipe that’s as beautiful as it is delicious!
This baked Brie with apples, pecans, and hot honey is the perfect combination of creamy, crunchy, sweet, and spicy. It’s an easy appetizer that feels a little elevated without requiring hours in the kitchen. Whether you’re hosting friends, planning a holiday gathering, or enjoying a cozy evening at home, this is one recipe you’ll want to keep on repeat.

A SIMPLE APPETIZER FOR FALL ENTERTAINING
One of my favorite things about entertaining is finding ways to make everyday ingredients feel special. You don’t need an elaborate menu to create something memorable. Sometimes, it’s all about pairing a few delicious flavors and presenting them beautifully.
For this recipe, I started with a wheel of Brie and added pecans, a drizzle of Mike’s Hot Honey, and fresh rosemary. I surrounded the warm cheese with crisp green and red apple slices and served everything with toasted baguette slices.
The combination is delicious, and I love that guests can help themselves straight from the skillet!
INGREDIENTS
Serves 6–8 as an appetizer
- 1 wheel of Brie cheese (approximately 8 ounces)
- ¼ cup pecans, roughly chopped
- 1–2 tablespoons Mike’s Hot Honey, plus more for serving
- 1 red apple, sliced
- 1 green apple, sliced
- 1–2 sprigs fresh rosemary
- 1 baguette, sliced
- Olive oil or melted butter for brushing the baguette

INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Place the Brie in a small oven-safe cast-iron skillet or baking dish. Lightly score the top rind in a crisscross pattern, leaving the sides intact.
Step 2
Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for approximately 12–15 minutes, or until the Brie is warm and soft in the center. Keep an eye on it to avoid overbaking.
Step 3
While the Brie bakes, toast the pecans in a dry skillet over medium-low heat for approximately 3–5 minutes, stirring frequently until fragrant. Remove from the heat and set aside.

Step 4
Lightly brush the baguette slices with olive oil or melted butter. Toast until golden and slightly crisp.
Step 5
Remove the Brie from the oven and allow it to rest for a minute or two. Top with the toasted pecans, then drizzle with Mike’s Hot Honey. Adjust the amount depending on your preferred balance of sweetness and heat.

Step 6
Place the skillet on a heat-safe trivet atop a serving board. Arrange the sliced apples and toasted baguette around the Brie, garnish with fresh rosemary, and serve while warm and creamy.

TIPS FOR EASY FALL ENTERTAINING
I love serving baked Brie directly from the cast-iron skillet. It keeps the presentation relaxed while adding a little rustic charm to the table.
Using both red and green apples adds a beautiful pop of color, and the contrast between the sweet fruit, creamy cheese, crunchy pecans, and spicy honey makes every bite interesting.
You can also prepare your ingredients ahead of time by slicing the baguette, measuring the pecans, and gathering your serving pieces. Slice the apples closer to serving time to keep them looking fresh.
And don’t forget the extra hot honey! A little drizzle just before serving is a delicious finishing touch.
GATHER, SERVE & ENJOY
The best recipes aren’t always the most complicated ones. I believe that entertaining should feel just as enjoyable for the host as it does for the guests.
This baked Brie is a perfect example of how a few simple ingredients can come together to create something special. It’s warm, inviting, and made for sharing with the people you love.

What’s your favorite appetizer to serve when entertaining? I’d love to hear what you’re making this fall!
