Hello Friends!
There’s something especially nice about happy hour at home.
It doesn’t have to be elaborate or even planned very far in advance. Sometimes, it’s simply pouring something you enjoy, setting out a small bite, and giving yourself permission to slow down for a little while.
Especially during the warmer months, I love creating little moments at home that feel easy and relaxed. A favorite glass of wine, a few simple snacks, and a pretty glass can turn an ordinary afternoon or evening into something that feels just a little more special.

CREATING A LITTLE MOMENT AT HOME
One of the things I’ve come to appreciate most about entertaining is that it doesn’t always have to involve a guest list.
Some of the same details that make guests feel welcome can make an everyday moment at home feel thoughtful too.
For happy hour, I like to keep things simple: a drink I’m in the mood for, something small to nibble on, and pretty glassware that makes even an ordinary pour feel a little more special.
Nothing complicated. Just enough to make the moment feel intentional.

KEEP THE MENU SIMPLE
Happy hour isn’t meant to become another meal to prepare.
A small board with a few favorite bites is more than enough. For this one, I kept things especially simple with sharp cheddar, salami, pepperoni, crackers, green grapes, olives, and glazed nuts.
It’s the kind of assortment that takes only a few minutes to put together, but still feels like a treat once everything is arranged on a pretty serving board.
The same goes for the drink. This is the perfect time for a favorite cocktail, a chilled bottle of wine, or even sparkling water dressed up with citrus and herbs.
For this happy hour, I poured a glass of Riesling—one of my favorites—and paired it with the little snack board.
The goal is ease.

USE WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE
You don’t need a dedicated bar—or even a bar cart—to create a happy hour moment at home.
A serving board, a favorite bottle, and a glass you love are really all you need.
I especially enjoy using some of the pieces I already have around the house, whether it’s a favorite serving board or one of the colored glasses from my collection. Those small details make the moment feel personal without adding any extra work.
And, of course, pretty glassware always makes the occasion feel a little more festive.

A REASON TO SLOW DOWN
Maybe that’s what I enjoy most about happy hour at home.
It creates a natural little pause between everything that came before it and whatever the evening may bring.
There’s no reservation to make, no place you have to be, and no real agenda. Just a chance to sit down, enjoy something delicious, and appreciate being home.
Sometimes, the simplest celebrations really are the best ones.
Every day is a day worth celebrating.
Do you have a favorite happy hour drink or snack you love to enjoy at home?
