Atlanta Retirement Celebration: Elisha Jarrett from Georgia State University

July 12, 2021

Hello Friends!  I was excited when an industry friend shared Ebony Peoples Events & Design with one of the NFL’s favorite moms!  I was honored when Mrs. Elisha Jarrett decided to hire me to plan and design her retirement celebration!  We had just under a month to secure a team of professionals to transform her family’s private estate.  The Jarretts host events at their home often but we wanted to ensure that Momma Jarrett’s retirement celebration was like no other!

Our goal was to engage the five, curate unique guest experiences, and create memories that will have friends, family, and colleagues talking for years to come!  The music entertainment was confirmed and we had to set the scene and plan the evening!  The weather forecast changed drastically in the days to come as we planned final details but the rain couldn’t stop our shine!  Complete with a tent for the evening’s formal dinner and a separate tent for the lounge, Momma Jarrett’s retirement celebration included an ice sculpture vase topped with beautiful floral, musical guests, and surprise treats throughout the evening!

Guests were greeted with passed champagne and escorted past Momma Jarrett’s beautiful photo gallery wall to the pool for cocktail hour with acclaimed violinist Ken Ford!  From there, guests transitioned to the tent for dinner and a program honoring Georgia State University’s newest retiree hosted by 11Alive news anchor, Aisha Howard!  After dinner, guests enjoyed musical performances from a variety of artists including Music Soulchild, Tony Tatum, Frank McComb, Charlie Singleton of Cameo, Phillippia, Algebra Blessett, and DJ Shakim!  The evening concluded with a professional cigar roller, hookah bar, ice cream cart, and a departing gift featuring Momma Jarrett’s favorite wine!  Here’s a peek at the festivities:

Thanks so much to all of the event pros who worked extra hard to make the celebration a success: Samantha Clarke Photography, Utopian Events, Thomas Vision Films, Chef Tiffani Janelle, Ice Sculptures Inc, Papered Wonders, Atlanta Tent Rental, Honor Cigars, Atlanta Hookah Catering, Sweet Stack Creamery, Be Simply Stunning, Noble Parking, and We’ll Do It Cleaning!

Momma Jarrett’s next chapter includes filming the network show “Inside the Shield with Pro Football Moms” with co-host Rob Vaka, consulting with a variety of professional organizations through the Innovative Alliance Group, and philanthropic work with Grady Gives and throughout the community!  Cheers to new beginnings and sweet success!

XO
