Happy New Year’s Eve! Before the year ends, I want to take a moment to share something that’s near and dear to my heart! 2015 has been quite a year and I am thankful for each and every moment! My granny, whom we affectionately call Tutu, passed away in July after battling pancreatic cancer. I was extremely close to my granny and the thought of not having her here with me was more than my heart could handle – that was until God shared His greatest blessing yet! After 5 years of a beautiful marriage, my husband and I decided to expand our family! (My granny was the first person we shared the BIG news with! Tutu was extremely happy and she did get to rub my belly a few times!)
My sweet friend Izehi of Izehi Photography captured photos of Jovan, my growing belly, and me during a fun maternity session at Trinity Groves and the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge! She titled our session, “S is for Sebastian, Stylish, and Seuss” and I love it! (Izehi and I met during a DFW shootout 5 years ago! We have definitely grown to be more like family as opposed to friends! I am thankful that she was on hand to share this moment with us!) Here’s a peek at a few of our favorite photos!
Jovan and I recently welcomed a sweet little boy into our family and our hearts! Sebastian Pierre was born on December 21st at 1:21am. He is so perfect and we are truly thankful for our new addition! Stay tuned for a formal introduction to the newest member of the Ebony Peoples Events & Design family!
Although my granny was not physically here to share this journey with me, I am certain that her spirit and love live on through our little one!
XOXO
