Photography, The Room on Main, The Rosewood Crescent HotelAs you map out your wedding day music list, note the song title and the artist.  (Keep in mind that some songs have several versions.)  Your DJ and wedding planner should be able to offer a bit of guidance as your search for the perfect songs!  Be sure to consider your favorite artists, crowd pleasers, must-play lists, and (if necessary) do not play lists!

In addition to your wedding day, be sure to consider music for other wedding-related festivities including the Engagement Party, Bridal Shower, Bachelor/Bachelorette Party, Rehearsal Dinner, and Post-Wedding Day Brunch.

What’s on your wedding day must-play music list?  I’d love to know!

XOXO

Hello Friends! 💐 Fresh flowers don’t always have Hello Friends! 💐

Fresh flowers don’t always have to mean a full arrangement.

For this little kitchen flower moment, I filled magnetic test tubes with lavender, rosemary, and baby’s breath and arranged them right on the refrigerator.

It’s simple, unexpected, and such an easy way to bring a little beauty into an everyday space.

The full details are now on The Ebony Edit.

Every day is a day worth celebrating.

A cool towel, a subtle lavender scent, and a few fresh sprigs are all it takes to make guests feel a little more comfortable.

I’m sharing the simple how-to on The Ebony Edit at ebonypeoples.com.

Today, I’m sharing three easy favorites: a Limoncello Spritz, Hugo Spritz, and classic Aperol Spritz.

The best part? They all start with the same simple 3-2-1 ratio:

3 parts Prosecco
2 parts liqueur
1 part sparkling water

Add fresh citrus, herbs, plenty of ice, and a beautiful glass—and you’re ready to pour.

Whether you’re inviting friends over or simply making something special for yourself, sometimes the happiest hour doesn’t require an invitation.

Which would you choose first: Limoncello, Hugo, or Aperol? 🥂

Hello Friends! 💐 Fresh flowers have always been o Hello Friends! 💐

Fresh flowers have always been one of my favorite ways to bring a little beauty into our home. There’s something about choosing a few blooms, arranging them in a favorite vase, and finding the perfect place for them that makes an ordinary day feel a little more special.

Today’s arrangement started with a few grocery-store finds: garden roses, spray roses, hydrangea, and St. John’s wort. Nothing elaborate—just a beautiful reminder that we don’t always need a special occasion to enjoy the things that make us smile.

Do you keep fresh flowers in your home? If so, what are your favorite blooms? 🌸
