Pinterest is a virtual inboard that allows you to organize and share exciting things that you find on the web. A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Giselle Phelps of the CW33 Network about Pinterest and it’s impact on the wedding industry. Check out the latest statistics courtesy of Kelly Ashworth Designs for Splendid Insights:
I must admit, I love Pinterest! I use it for inspiration for my business and personal life. I also think it’s a great tool to use with clients to ensure that our thoughts, ideas, and inspiration are in alignment. Unfortunately, some brides (and grooms) feel like Pinterest is a replacement wedding planner. Although Pinterest is beneficial for organizing ideas, color palettes, and design elements, couples often need assistance with budget management, vendor recommendations, and orchestrating the final product.
Head over to the CW33 Network to take a peek at my interview with Giselle and 2 brides-to-be.
What are your thoughts on Pinterest? Will you (did you) hire a wedding planner for your wedding? Why or why not? I’d love to know!!
XOXO
P.S. If you choose to plan your entire wedding day with the help of Pinterest, consider securing a month-of coordinator. The very special people in your life (mom, aunt, best friend, etc) should be there to support you and enjoy the festivities without the worry of meeting vendors and overseeing a timeline!
