Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey recently celebrated their 5 year anniversary. As many of you know, the beautiful couple renew their vows each year. They recently had a grand “Do You Believe In Fairy Tales?” celebration at Disneyland with Sleeping Beauty’s castle as the backdrop! Nick and Mariah exchanged vows, with Monroe and Moroccan in tow, in the midst of 250 close friends and family members. Mariah looked gorgeous in a beautiful lace and chiffon princess-inspired wedding gown. Nick was quite handsome in a white suit adorned with gold embellishments similar to Prince Charming’s in Cinderella! Monroe and Moroccan were super cute as mommy and daddy’s mini-mes. Take a peek at the beautiful ceremony complete with a horse-drawn crystal carriage, a princess gown, a castle, and fireworks!
Nick and Mariah’s vow renewal was definitely fit for a king and queen! What’s your favorite part of their celebration? I’d love to know!
Happy 2nd Day of May! I hope your month is off to a great start. As you know, April Showers bring May Flowers – and lots of fabulous parties! I recently came across the “10 Rules of Party Crashing” courtesy of Lilly Pulitzer. (I just LOVE her colorful brand and style!) Take a peek:
“Life’s a Party, dress like it!” Note taken! Do you have any fun outdoor parties coming up soon? If so, I’d love to hear all about it! Feel free to share in the comment section below!
It’s Tasty Tuesday! Although it’s pretty chilly in Dallas today, I know that the summer heat is on the way! As we continue to plan wedding and events for the summer months, I encourage my clients to think of fun and unique ways to keep their guests cool! As temperatures often creep up to 90 and even 100+ at times, I can’t help but to think about frozen yogurt! Pinkberry has reinvented frozen (and now Greek) yogurt with a tart, light, and refreshing taste. In addition to the hundreds of store locations worldwide, Pinkberry also caters weddings! Whether you’re in Michigan, Texas, or anywhere in between, a frozen yogurt station would be the perfect addition to your summer wedding reception!
Happy Friday! I hope you all are having a fabulous day. I had an amazing time assisting Alexis and her family in planning her Quinceanera (15th birthday) celebration! (I shared Alexis’ portrait session at the Dallas Arboretum earlier this week. Take a peek here.) We were all super excited to see the all of the pretty party elements come together. After a beautiful mass at St. Matthew’s Cathedral, the bling and the band were in full effect this past weekend as the guests danced the night away at the Dallas Marriott City Center! Check out some of the details below captured by Monica Salazar Photography:
Happy Wednesday! Over the last few months, I’ve had the pleasure of assisting a super sweet family in planning their daughter’s Quinceañera celebration. Alexis is such a beautiful young lady – inside and out! While planning her celebration, I felt as if I had a new little sister in life! Although her favorite color is purple and mine is pink, she loves gummy bears and lots of bling – just like me!! It was truly an honor in watching her transition from her childhood into a young lady! Traditionally, no one can see the Quinceañera’s dress until the day of the event. I had a sneak peek at her portrait session a few weeks ago and I couldn’t wait to share! Alexis designed the sketch for her gown and she looks gorgeous!
Be sure to check out the blog tomorrow for a glimpse at the full Quinceañera celebration!
Happy Monday! I hope your week is off to a great start. Earlier this month, Danyel and Darnell celebrated their wedding day at the Rosewood Crescent Hotel in uptown Dallas. I had the pleasure of assisting this beautiful couple in bringing their ‘Old Hollywood’ wedding to life. Their celebration was classy and chic – the true embodiment of the bride and groom! Danyel and Darnell, you are such a beautiful couple and I wish you two the very best in life and love!!
It’s Tasty Tuesday! As you know, tomorrow is the first day of Spring. In honor of the seasons changing, I’d like to share a list for eating and selecting foods within season. With this list, you’ll be able to plant your own seasonal garden and partake in foods that are grown closer to your home. This, in turn, will save you a bit of cash while grocery shopping and promote a healthy lifestyle change. (Healthy eating is at the tops of my to-do list for this year!) Take a peek at the chart below courtesy of Style Me Green:
I’m looking forward to the fresh spinach and sweet strawberries in the upcoming season! (I see lots of fun combinations for mini salads and finger foods for an upcoming Spring Fling on the patio!) What are you looking forward to most about Spring? I’d love to know!
Happy Tuesday! Can you believe that we’re almost half way through the month of March? March means that seasons are changing and spring is in the air! March also means sweet green treats are popping up everywhere, including Shamrock Shakes!
Take a peek at the following video (courtesy of She Knows Food & Recipes and Cathy Rankin of the Daily Dish) for step-by-step instructions on how to make a delicious Shamrock Shake in the comfort of your own home:
There’s no need to head to McDonald’s for a Shamrock Shake because now you know how to make your own! What’s your favorite green treat? I’d love to know!
Happy Friday! The weekend is here! I’d like to share a sweet and fun wedding song to keep you grooving as you relax, plan your wedding, and mark things off your to-do list this weekend. Check out 4Evermore by Anthony David featuring Algebra and Phonte!
“Forever’s a mighty long time but I really wanna spend it with you!” I just love the lyrics in 4Evermore! This song will be playing in my head as I prepare for to Danyel & Darnell’s wedding this weekend at the Rosewood Crescent Hotel on Sunday! What are your weekend plans? I’d love to know!
Today I’d like to introduce you to a super sweet and classy couple! Over the last few months, I’ve had the pleasure assisting Danyel and Darnell in planning their upcoming wedding celebration! We’re prepping for an “Old Hollywood” themed wedding at the Rosewood Crescent Hotel this Sunday. Danyel mentioned that Darnell’s love is reminiscent of the 1940′s and 1950′s. True Love. Glitz & Glam. Elegance & Class. I just love it! Take a peek at their Old Hollywood inspired save-the-date including an engagement photo courtesy of Kauwuane Burton Photography and design by Art by Ellie.
I can’t wait to see all of the details unfold on Sunday! Stay tuned for photos of their exquisite wedding celebration!
