Hello Friends!
There’s something about the first cool hint of fall that makes familiar flavors feel new again. Apples start showing up everywhere, the evenings feel a little cozier, and suddenly a cocktail with a touch of spice feels exactly right.
This Apple Cider Margarita brings together crisp apple cider, bright lime, tequila, and orange liqueur for a drink that feels seasonal without being too heavy. It’s refreshing enough for early fall, but still has just enough warmth to make it feel like the season has officially arrived.
It’s the kind of cocktail that works just as well for a quiet happy hour at home as it does for casual fall entertaining.

- ¾ ounce fresh lime juice
- ½ ounce orange liqueur

RECIPE NOTES
A reposado tequila works especially well here because its slightly warmer flavor pairs beautifully with apple cider, but blanco tequila will keep the drink a little brighter and crisper.
Fresh lime juice is important. It cuts through the natural sweetness of the cider and keeps the cocktail balanced rather than overly sweet.
If you add a cinnamon-sugar rim, I recommend a half rim instead of coating the entire glass. It gives the drink a seasonal touch while keeping the presentation polished.
For the apple garnish, slice the apple just before serving so it stays fresh. McIntosh apples will work beautifully and add a nice tart contrast to the cider.
If your cider is especially sweet, you can reduce it slightly or add an extra squeeze of lime to taste.
A FRESH TAKE ON FALL
I love a cocktail that nods to the season without feeling too predictable. This one has all the familiar apple and spice notes we associate with fall, but the lime and tequila keep it bright, fresh, and easy to sip.
Serve it for an early fall happy hour, alongside appetizers before dinner, or as a seasonal signature cocktail for a casual gathering.
Sometimes the best seasonal recipes are the ones that feel familiar — just with a little twist.

What’s your favorite way to enjoy apple cider once fall arrives?
