Thursday Therapy Atlanta – March 2018

Hello Atlanta wedding and event pros! Happy Wednesday! Our next Thursday Therapy networking event is tomorrow, March 29th, at Elite Pour La Vie in Alpharetta!

Please join us from 6pm – 9pm for an evening of mixing, mingling, and sharing at one of Atlanta’s most exclusive bridal salons! Although housed in Atlanta, Elite Pour La Vie features a collection of couture bridal, special occasion, and pageant gowns from designers around the world including Berta, Marchesa, Zuhair Murad, Baracci, and Charbel Zoe!

Meet the New Host of Thursday Therapy Atlanta!

Hello Friends! Happy Thursday! I hope you’re having a great week! I have some great news: I am now the host of Thursday Therapy Atlanta! Thursday Therapy, a branch of Sage Wedding Pros, is a monthly networking event where wedding and event industry professionals have an opportunity to mix, mingle, and share in a casual environment!

To keep the experience fresh and new, Thursday Therapy will be held at a different venue, restaurant, or lounge each month! You will have an opportunity to tour some amazing venues and check out some of Atlanta’s hidden gems!

What’s the fee to attend Thursday Therapy each month?

It’s free! There is no fee to attend Thursday Therapy! (Please note that depending on the location, you may have to pay for parking.)

I was a “Groupie” when Thursday Therapy (TT) first launched in Dallas! I was so ecstatic about the genuine connections that I made with other industry pros! Pantone 2018 Color of the Year: Ultra Violet

Happy Thursday! We are already in the 3rd week of 2018! Can you believe it? Pantone, known world-wide as the standard language of color communication, recently announced Ultra Violet as the Color of the Year 2018!

Dallas Wedding Celebration: Adrienne & Michael

Happy New Year’s Eve! Before we say goodbye to 2017, I want to share a beautiful wedding celebration from this past year! I had the pleasure of assisting Kansas couple, Adrienne and Michael, with planning their August wedding celebration in the bride’s hometown at the W Dallas Hotel!

Adrienne and Micheal chose to incorporate shades of fuchsia, silver, and mirrored textures in their 3-part wedding day! Their ceremony included a romantic, candle-lit vow exchange with a modern candle wall backdrop. During cocktail hour guests enjoyed signature Mr. and Mrs. cocktails and delicious passed hors d’oeuvres in the hotel’s foyer. The gorgeous dinner party reception was complete with mirrored table tops, beautiful glass decor, and a nod to Michael’s Nigerian roots! The after-party was held in Altitude on the 33rd floor of the hotel overlooking downtown Dallas with music entertainment from the one and only DJ Mark Battle of One Sound and Entertainment! Wedding Word Etiquette: Stationary vs. Stationery

Happy Tuesday! It’s officially Engagement Season! This is the time between Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day when over 50% of proposals take place! As the excitement rises and wedding planning begins, it’s important that couples understand wedding lingo and word etiquette! As a former elementary school teacher, this is near and dear to my heart!

Today I’d like to share the difference between stationAry and stationEry! These words are homophones which means that they have the same pronunciation but different meanings, spellings, and origins!

StationAry: not moving or changing

StationEry: writing paper and other office materials

In the wedding world, we are often discussing stationEry which includes save-the-dates, invitations, ceremony programs, menu cards, and other day-of paper goods.
