As of today, ‘Breaking Dawn Part 1‘ from the Twilight Saga has officially been in theaters for three weeks. It ranks the 5th largest debut of all time bringing in over $139.5 million. Wow! My hubby and I had the pleasure of viewing the highly anticipated film on the day it debuted in theaters. We’ve seen all of the other movies – multiple times – and were eager to see this one for 2 reasons: To find out the next series of events in this “love triangle” between Bella, Edward, and Jacob and to check out the Cullen wedding!! As a wedding planner, I’ve envisioned the Cullen wedding in head on numerous occasions but could never quite put all of the details together.
The language, the visuals, and the emotion were all perfectly wrapped, bow and all, into a perfect 1 hour and 48 minute movie package. Check out a few photos from some of the wedding highlights:
This beautiful antique diamond ring once belonged to Edward’s mother.

The invitation was simplistically elegant… and very Cullen-like!

Alice and Rosalie help Bella with her hair and makeup.

The hair clip, a gift from Bella’s parents, once belonged to her grandmother.

Bella’s Monolo Blahnik shoes definitely stole the show (or movie, in this case)!

Carolina Herrera designed Bella’s wedding gown.

I love the back of this dress! Look at that detail!

The enchanted garden ceremony space was gorgeous! So intimate and serene…

Edward smiles as Bella walks down the aisle.

Faithful Twilight viewers have been waiting for the Cullen vow exchange for a long time!

Family members gaze in awe as Edward and Bella seal the deal.

I now present Mr. and Mrs. Edward Cullen!

The wedding decor was absolutely beautiful! Alice did a wonderful job in planning the Cullen wedding. And those shoes… I’m speechless! I wonder how many brides have incorporated the shoes into their final look. I would love to see at least one of my Dallas brides walking down the aisle in these!
Some of the language in the film was so dreamy! During the reception, Edward expressed his love for Bella. ”No amount of time with you will ever be enough, but we’ll start with forever.” That’s so romantic… and what every girl dreams of hearing!
I can’t even begin to describe the honeymoon beach house. It was beautiful! (Jovan and I would LOVE to have our own private island for the week.) To all of the other Twilight fans out there, what was your favorite part of the Cullen wedding? Please share your thoughts in the comment section below!
XOXO,
Ebony
(P.S. – If you’re interested in recreating any of the details, there are several replicas of the wedding gown, jewelry, shoes, and hair clip floating around the internet!)
