It’s Official: Baby Carter Is Here!!

As many of you know, I (along with the rest of the world) have been waiting patiently for the arrival of Beyoncé and Jay-Z‘s love child.  I am proud to announce that Baby Carter is here!  My friends and I can finally celebrate the arrival of our “niece,” Blue Ivy Carter!

Sources say that Beyoncé checked into New York’s Lennox Hill Hospital on Friday night under the name “Ingrid Jackson” and gave birth on Saturday with a proud papa, Shawn Carter, at her side.  They reportedly rented out the entire 4th floor!  Now that’s exclusive!  Celebrities all over the world have been publicly congratulating the couple all weekend.  Rihanna tweeted, “Welcome to the world princess Carter.  Love Aunty Rih.”  So sweet!!

Congratulations Beyoncé and Jay-Z!  I can’t wait to see pictures of Little Miss Blue Ivy Carter!  I’m sure she’s just as gorgeous as her mommy!  I wonder if Christian Louboutin is going to start a baby shoe line in honor of this fabulous occasion!  (That would be GREAT!!)

Have an awesome week!

XOXO,

Tasty Tuesday: Riesling Strawberry Slushies

It’s Tuesday again and as always, I’m thinking about food!  Lol.  Jovan (Hubby) and I are learning to be wine connoisseurs so when I found this recipe on Pinterest, I was super excited!  Lisa Thiele of With Style & Grace share the recipe for Riesling Strawberry Slushies on her popular food and lifestyle blog a few months ago.  This would be the perfect addition to your baby or bridal shower menu… or as an added treat for an autumn evening on the patio with your beau!  I know it’s getting chilly outside but wine and slushies never go out of season!

* 2 cups hulled strawberries

* 1 bottle dry Riesling

* 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

* 2 tablespoons sugar

Reserve 1 cup of Riesling – cover and place in the fridge to chill.

In a food processor, puree strawberries with remaining wine, lime juice, and sugar.

Pour the mixture into ice cube trays and freeze until solid.

When you’re ready to serve (or drink), puree the ice cubes with the remaining wine in your blender.

Enjoy!!

Sound yummy? Try it for yourself!

XOXOXO,

The ‘Countdown’ Continues!!

I, along with many of you, was super excited when Beyoncé showed off her baby bump to the public at the MTV Music Awards a few weeks ago.  She continues to glow as her due date approaches.  Yesterday, she premiered the music video for Countdown, her latest hit single.  Beyoncé’s work ethic is like none other – baby bump and all!!  I hope I can keep up my working pace when Jovan and I decide to expand our family!

Check out the super cute video for Countdown!!

What did you think?  I love all of the fun, bright colors, and of course, the baby bump!!

Many of my close friends and associates are either expecting or just had a baby.  I get that baby itch every time I see a new baby picture or ultrasound posted on Facebook.  All of this talk about pregnancy and babies has me thinking a lot about baby showers and sip & sees!  I found this ‘Milkaholic’ themed sip & see on Half Baked – The Cake Blog a few months ago.  I LOVE all of the super cute details and decor.  I hope to plan something like this soon!!

What’s your favorite detail from the Milkaholic shower?  That dessert display is too cute!!

I think I’m going to bake some cookies this weekend and wash them down with a nice glass of skim milk!!  I hope you have an awesome weekend!

XOXOXO,
